Hello Everyone,
I'm Kaylee Hanowski!!!! Nice to meet ya!
I took this class for something different. I wanted to do something more independent, and I figured I'd take an online class. When this was an option, I thought this would suit me well. In the future, I plan on becoming a Graphic Designer, or get into Videography, and or a mix of both. If its to hard to find something in that area, I would like to work in a news studio as a producer, anchor, or reporter. So I have many options! I have already been accepted to the Central Lakes College in Staples, MN. I start there next fall! There I will be studying my Videography and Graphic Design.
I currently work at Anytime Fitness in Cambridge, I work few hours, but if you want to sign up let me know!
I also just got a job at Walgreens Photo, as a Photo Tech! Wahoo, go me! :)
I love to travel. I've been to Hawaii, Florida, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Washington D.C., Bahamas, and whatever else! There's still some exploring left to do I'd say. I've never been out of the United States, so that's something that remains at the bottom of my bucket list.
Hobbies consist of movie making, writing, photography, talking, laughing, and anything that can keep me entertained for more than 5 minutes.
I hope to obtain things like creativeness, and insight this semester. I want a feel for journalism and what it's like. I hope to get familiar with writing, and I also hope it finds me.
Kaylee

Hey Kaylee! I really enjoyed reading your introduction! I admire your interest in photography! I took photography class in high school and really enjoyed it. I also like the fact that you travel, I enjoy traveling as well! I have been to colorado and I loved it there!
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you. I am a member at Anytime in Cambridge, but I usually work out at the school gym because I work there. I used to work at Anytime in St.Paul as a trainer. I, like you, am looking forward to this class and what I'm going to get out of it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! Your editing is wonderful, I am trying hard to learn (unsuccessfully) Gimp2 (freeware) instead of spending money on a good program. I'd be curious as to what software you use. I like that you hope writing finds you. I may need to adopt that state of mind, let writing find me rather than pursuing it. Currently it just grants me anxiety! Here's to being open and taking it all in.
ReplyDeleteKaylee, I love the fact that you are into photography. I have also loved and taken an interest in Photography since I can't even remember when. I still have yet to take a class or anything of that sort for it though. My sisters Fiance majored in photography so he is in the slow process of teaching me the technical things. I enjoy every bit of it! I wish I could travel like you! I have only been to Mexico and California. After college I hope to spend some time exploring the world. My goal is France!!
ReplyDeleteAnyone interested in photography is more than welcome to join the school newspaper staff (the Ink Spot)! I'm also the adviser for the school newspaper, and we're always looking for folks to snap pictures at various events. It's a great way to build your resume and get real-world experience. The Ink Spot meets once a week (Thursdays, E124, noon to 12:50 p.m.) in Cambridge.
ReplyDeleteThe same is true for videography... The Ink Spot equipment currently includes Canon EOS Rebel with video capability and a Flip; experiment and get published at the same time.
I hope you join the Ink Spot staff, Kaylee!
Hi there, Kaylee. You come off as if you have quite a creative mind and broad ambition. Also the fact that you said, "I hope to get familiar with writing, and I also hope it finds me." I think this is interesting because I believe when it comes to journalism stories aren't only picked by the writer but discovered by them, and sometimes stories are obscure to some and perceptible to others. So if your statement stands true I think this class will be a perfect fit, especially if you want a different perspective on things. =]
ReplyDeleteOh and I have a question for you. Who's your favorite artist, and when I say artist I'm referring to all creative professions?
Hi Kaylee. I'm Kristi, nice to meet you. As the sounds of it you sound like your a very creative person, which is a great factor to have with writing. I agree with most of the others on your photography, the editing on the photos are awesome. Also, I love to travel too but unfortunately I haven't got the chance travel to many places but I hope one day I can!
ReplyDeleteHi Kaylee, Im Jessica. I enjoyed reading your introduction. You have a lot in common with me. I took Photography in my first semester of college and loved it! You should consider visiting Italy. It is a gorgeous place and has a lot of perfect photo opportunity areas!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great talent for writing and photography. You should consider working for the Ink Spot. I lived in Italy for three years and loved the culture, people and oldness.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the notice on the Ink Spot! I plan to go check it out Thursday!
ReplyDeleteMy Favorite artist? Geez, I really like the band Jack's Mannequin. But thats just music and lyrics. Visual artwork, I dont have a favorite. Whatever artwork catches my eye is considered a favorite.
